Georgia Southern's Planetarium and Astronomy Lab Coordinator Dillon Marcy has had a love for astronomy from an early age and even visited the planetarium, where he now works, as a child. Today, he is teaching another generation about the wonders of astronomy and presenting shows that all members of the community can enjoy. 

At the annual event, Georgia High School Football Daily sponsored the Hudl Awards. They go to head coaches of the “most improved winning teams” in each Georgia High School Association and Georgia Independent Athletic Association classification.

The Statesboro Fire Department is once again conducting its annual hydrant testing within the City of Statesboro limits as well as the 5-mile response area starting February 1 and lasting through the end of April.

Georgia Department of Transportation continues essential road work throughout Southeast Georgia. As a result, work on construction and maintenance projects will continue Saturday, February 10 through Friday, February 16. All work subject to change due to weather or other factors.
