Brooklet, Friday, March 29, 2024 – When you grow up with someone you do everything together. Noah Rogers and Carter Bowman have played baseball since the little leagues together, and now both are varsity starters on the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets baseball team.

Last Friday afternoon, both signed athletic scholarships to go play baseball at the next level. Noah Rogers will be attending Valdosta State recruited as a pitcher, and Carter Bowman will be attending Emmanuel University recruited as a third baseman.

Head varsity baseball coach Brandon Peterson started out the ceremony by talking about how both Rogers and Bowman were leaders on the team and their ability to play baseball was at a high level. They are great student-athletes with a high work ethic. They play with a lot of passion and fire and that allows them to be the vocal leaders on the team.

Both Rogers and Bowman talked about the huge impacts left on them by many coaches, teammates and family members that they will cherish as they take the next steps into their sports career.

“I want to thank my parents for driving me to games and paying for my travel ball,” Noah Rogers said. “That means a lot to me and it’s what got me here today so I can’t thank you enough.”

“The coaches just had a big impact on all of us and that means a lot,” Carter Bowman said. “It was more than baseball because y’all built us into the men we are today.”

The Yellow Jackets season is nowhere near over as they still have three region matchups to finish out the regular season. They will be playing Benedictine in a three-game series. They will host the Cadets at home on Thursday, April 4, at 5:30 pm for game two of a three-game series. Tickets for this game are available on the GoFan website.

There are three region games left to play in the regular season and the SEB Yellow Jackets varsity baseball squad are currently sitting at the second place sport in their region. If they can win these next few region contests, they have a great chance of securing the first place seed in the region come the end of the regular season.

Congratulations Noah Rogers and Carter Bowman and google luck on the rest of your season.
