A goal from Austin Wehner put the finishing touches on a dominant performance by South Georgia Tormenta FC. Sebastian Vivas scored a goal from close range off of an assists by Pedro Fonseca in the 57th minute.

A great start to the game helped Tormenta take a 2-0 lead into the half. They wasted no time getting on the board as Nilal Watson scored off a header in the opening minutes of the game. Joshua Ramos would score his team's second goal off of a sweet pass by Jackson Khoury in the 35th minute.

Tormenta was very aggressive the entire game and they controlled the ball. Tormenta had possession for 57 percent of the game and also doubled the Clovers in shot attempts and shots on goal.

Head Coach Ian Cameron was pleased with how his team played on Tuesday night. Cameron wanted to see his team find their identity as a team again. "There was progress, but there is still frustration," Cameron said. "What we spoke about, we saw on the field today. They were trying to put those things in action which is rewarding as a staff."

Tormenta has a quick turnaround before they go on the road to take on Lexington SC on Saturday.  "Learn from this game," Cameron said. "Good things that we changed, keep them. There are still things to get better at and try to put on the best performance of the year on Saturday."

The third round of the US Open Cup will take place on April 16-17. South Georgia Tormenta is waiting to see who their opponent will be.
