Kindergarten here they come! Congratulations to the graduates of Kid's World Learning Center's five-week Summer Transition Program. The children, and their parents, received vital support as they prepare for the fall.

Hands-on professor, mom, and community champion, Dr. Kristina (Tina) Patterson moved to Statesboro in 2018 and quickly became an integral part of local efforts to serve youth and address community concerns.

A safe space for victims of sexual assault, The Teal House is no cost service that provides advocacy, emotional support, and supportive care. The Teal House plays an important role in our community for child advocacy, an essential resource for children who have been victimized.

Soon, even more children in foster care can attend life-changing summer camps at Fostering Families' 7th Mile Farm thanks to the efforts of Leadership Bulloch's Class of 2024.

Esther's Place, a nonprofit organization designed to help Statesboro's women in need, offers food, clothing, confidence, and hope to the ladies it serves. Since its inception in April of 2022, Esther's Place has served over 318 women and 171 children, provided 1,348 meals, 171 showers, 231 shopping sprees in its wardrobe, and completed 544 loads of laundry. 

Local young man's dream comes true as he becomes a published author for Christmas - Brandon Hudson's heartwarming story of a boy's first visit to the zoo is filled with wonder and joy.

Roy and Deborah Thompson are getting ready for another season of drive-thru Christmas lights at TMT Farm. This event, which the couple has hosted for more than two decades, is a beloved seasonal tradition for many Bulloch County families. This year, they will spread some extra Christmas cheer by hosting a special night for the homebound in our community to enjoy the lights before the official opening on December 9.

The men and women who serve our City with the Statesboro Police Department often face incredible danger in the line of duty. Eight officers were recognized for their heroic actions in two separate harrowing incidents in our City. Click on the picture to meet these brave officers and read their story of heroism. The citizens of Statesboro are blessed to have such dedicated members of SPD protecting our community.

Screven County native Rachel Williams is handling her cancer journey with grace and grit. Her inspirational story gives hope to many who are struggling with a challenging diagnosis. 

A group of young entrepreneurs got the opportunity to practice their sales skills while also raising money for a great cause at the first local Kids4Kids Market this summer.
