The GS Athletic Foundation raised a record $11.06 million.

The Georgia Southern volleyball program posted a 3.43 team GPA in the fall and a 3.63 team GPA in the spring for its 27th and 28th consecutive semester, respectively, with a 3.0 or higher.

The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has named Georgia Southern's Abby Newton, Haley Yerxa and Meiqi Gao All-American Scholars.

Wells earned the honor after she posted a perfect 4.0 GPA in the classroom during the spring semester. In swim events, she lead the Eagles in 1-meter and 3-meter events, and qualified for NCAA Zones competition.

Georgia Southern baseball players have kept busy after the conclusion of the baseball season by playing in various summer baseball leagues around the country.

Georgia Southern earns the team honor for an eighth straight year; seven Eagles earn individual honors.

The two sisters each won their respective division at a Savannah tennis tournament July 8-9.

The team will be playing its final game of the summer on the road on Aug. 6 against division leader Southern Soccer Academy. 

The Eagles open the season on Sept. 2 at home against The Citadel.
