Eagles defensive back Elijah Hynes spent nearly three years serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Georgia Southern Athletics caught up with him ahead of Saturday's Salute to Service game against Coastal Carolina.

Portal High School will host an 80s Night at its Friday night football game against Bryan County. All PHS football players and cheerleaders from the 1980s are invited to attend a tailgate and school tour before the game.

Georgia Kate Anderson will throw out the first pitch at the 5:30pm SEB softball game this Thursday, September 14. All ticket proceeds for the "Georgia Kate's Place is at Home" event will go to her family.
