GS Eagles: Women's soccer signs four for 2024

The new signees are: Kaitlin Cook (5-7, F, Flowery Branch, Ga.); Hailey Esser (5-5, D, Holly Springs, N.C.); Olivia Golden (5-6, D, Peachtree City, Ga.) and Maya Zmistowski (5-3, MF, Braselton, Ga.).

Georgia Southern Head Women's Soccer Coach Chris Adams has announced the addition of four freshman to the Eagle soccer program during the early signing period. These four student-athletes will join the program for the fall of 2024.

The new signees are: Kaitlin Cook (5-7, F, Flowery Branch, Ga.); Hailey Esser (5-5, D, Holly Springs, N.C.); Olivia Golden (5-6, D, Peachtree City, Ga.) and Maya Zmistowski (5-3, MF, Braselton, Ga.).

Cherokee Bluff HS / Atlanta Fire United

All-time leading scorer for Cherokee Bluff HS who earned 2023 Georgia 4A All-State Honors as a junior ... First varsity soccer player in Hall County history to score 100 goals in 3 seasons ... Tallied 41 goals and eight assists as a junior in 2023 ... Also starred for the Cherokee Bluff HS women's basketball team ... Plays club for Atlanta Fire United ... Plans to major in engineering or business with a double major in Spanish.

Coach Adams: "Kaitlin is a fantastic athlete who is a strong target forward that has a knack for scoring goals. Kaitlin can play numerous positions but we have recruited her to play up top and be a goal scorer. Welcome Kaitlin and family to Eagle Nation!"

Middle Creek HS / NCFC

Defensive Player of the Year for Middle Creek HS who is a two-time All-Conference honoree ... Led the team in scoring as a freshman and also tallied the most game-winning goals as a sophomore and a junior ... Plays club for NCFC in the ECNL ... Plans to major in exercise science.

Coach Adams: "Hailey is an explosive left back who is also left footed. Hailey is very active in the attack which will fit in well with our style of play. Eagle Nation is excited to have Hailey and the Esser family joining us!"

McIntosh HS / Gwinnett Soccer Academy

First team All-Region performer at McIntosh HS ... Also named to the All-Star team as a junior ... Plays club for Gwinnett Soccer Academy ... Plans to major in mechanical engineering.

Coach Adams: "Olivia is an athletic outside back that can play on the left or right side. Olivia has terrific physical attributes which will serve her well in the college game. We are happy to have Olivia and her family joining Eagle Nation!"

Mill Creek HS / Gwinnett Soccer Academy

Two-time first-team All-Region performer at Mill Creek HS ... Earned first-team 7A All-State honors as well as a junior ... Plays club for Gwinnett Soccer Academy, where she has been a captain for her club squad ... Plans to major in biology.

Coach Adams: "Maya is a tremendous box to box midfielder who not only covers lots of ground but has a terrific range of passes. Maya also possesses great leadership skills and is one of the hardest working players on the field each and every day. We are excited to add Maya and her family to Eagle Nation!"
