Statesboro Mayor to Host Annual State of the City Address later this month
City of Statesboro Mayor Jonathan McCollar will host the 2024 State of the City address on Tuesday, February 27, in the Emma Kelly Theater in Downtown Statesboro. Monday accident claims lives of beloved local couple
Perry and Vendora Cobb were natives of Metter and Portal, respectively, and had lived on the family farm in Candler County since they married in 1959. They are remembered by friends and family as a sweet couple who loved poodles and dining out together. Their visitation will be held on Wednesday at Joiner-Anderson, with funeral services following on Thursday.

Statesboro Village Builders to host next Family Fun Resource Day Feb. 24
Statesboro Village Builders will host its second “Family Fun Resource Day” of 2024 on Saturday, February 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Statesboro Convention & Visitors Bureau (222 S Main Street, Statesboro).
