Statesboro witnessed a remarkable display of civic engagement this weekend as nearly 500 residents gathered at the Bulloch County Courthouse for a 'No Kings' rally, marking the largest turnout yet for the movement.

Johnson won the Newcomers Preliminary Talent Award for her tap dance to 'Sunday Finest' by Sir Rosevelt. She is from Twin City and was dual enrolled at ECI, where she was valedictorian, and EGSC. She will transfer to the University of Georgia this fall, majoring in biological science.

This youth-led, family friendly event will feature music, spoken word poetry, and interactive activities to teach the community about Juneteenth Freedom Day. All are invited to attend.
