The Humane Society of Statesboro & Bulloch County will hold their 19th Annual Silent Auction on Saturday, May 4th from 6-8pm. This year, the event will be held at The Foxhall. Organizers say attendees can expect "a fun night out, delicious food, and hundreds of items up for auction."

The silent auction is the Humane Society's largest and most successful fundraising event of the year. All of the proceeds go to rescue and spay/neuter programs in our community. The event is sponsored by The Foxhall, Floors Outlet, Premier Dental Wellness, and Renasant Bank.

The Humane Society of Statesboro is a volunteer based, non-profit organization that has been saving animals in the community since the 1980s. The Humane Society's mission is to end the pet overpopulation in our community through adoption, spay and neuter, and education. Their ultimate goal is to make Bulloch County a "no-kill' community.

The HSSBC focuses on removing adoptable, last chance pets from the animal shelter before their time runs out. These animals are placed in foster homes where they are socialized within a loving environment.
