The Southeast Health District is now offering COVID and influenza PCR testing at kiosks conveniently located outside at the Statesboro Fire Department (Station 1) located at 24 W Grady St. and outside the Georgia Southern University bookstore. Testing is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no out-of-pocket cost.

The closure will allow crews to install new traffic signals and roadway markings for the new Diverging Diamond Interchange configuration.

After 23 years of dedicated service to the Bethany organization, Becky D. Livingston will step down as the Chief Executive Officer. With Livingston leaving at the end of 2023, the Board of Trustees has worked with the Executive Staff of the Bethany organization and has named Regina M. Bell, RN, BSN, LTCA, as the Executive Director of the organization beginning with Livingston’s departure.

The Portal Panther keep crushing records in their history making season. After a big win Friday night over the Turner County Titians they will advance to round 2 of the GHSA state playoffs.

First year head Coach Matt Dobson and his Statesboro Blue Devils are advancing to the second round in Class 5A football playoffs.

Kickoff is set for 7:03 p.m. and will be broadcast nationally on NFL Network. The game will also be available via radio on the Georgia Southern Sports Network.
