About the Foundations Resource Center

Foundations Resource Center, an innovative hub of hope and support, is redefining traditional contours of assistance centers. As a fusion of a pregnancy and family resource center, Foundations is committed to extending its services beyond the bounds of pregnancy. Their comprehensive approach ensures that every individual and family walking through their doors is greeted with unwavering support, regardless of their circumstances.

Foundations Resource Center is a Christian ministry walking alongside families as they face pregnancy and parenting-related crises and challenges. Their mission is to empower women to make life-affirming decisions about themselves and their unborn children by promoting life holistically, embracing the life of the unborn and the born alike.

"At Foundations, we believe in a broader exhibition of what it means to promote life,” states Jordan Mathis, Executive Director of Foundations. “With nearly 25% of Bulloch County's population residing below the poverty line, many local families already face unspeakable challenges in supporting themselves even before an unexpected pregnancy occurs. Poverty, limited access to healthcare, lack of transportation, lack of housing, lack of material resources or connections to available community resources, language barriers, abuse, pregnancy and infant loss…the list goes on. These are all crises we see our clients dealing with every day. More often than not, the pregnancy itself is not the crisis, but it brings to light prior existing core issues that need addressing."

  • Resource Referral: Assisting clients in connecting with other crucial community resources, and helping families apply for benefits like Medicaid, CAPS, WIC, etc.
  • Material Assistance: Offering essential items such as diapers, wipes, formula, clothes, car seats, and pack-n-plays.
  • Mentorship/Support Group: Known as “BF Gathering,” this monthly event brings moms together for food, fellowship, and devotion.
  • Abortion Recovery: Providing counseling for those grappling with the emotional aftermath of a past abortion.
  • International Outreach: Foundations takes pride in serving a diverse population, including Haitian and Hispanic families. Foundations Resource Center is dedicated to limitless commitment. There's no time cap on how long they serve a client; if there’s a need, Foundations is there to help. Their mission is built on the idea of fostering community connections and empowering families and individuals to thrive.
