Last chance to file Bulloch County homestead exemptions for 2024 | Deadline is April 1st

Homestead exemptions have been enacted to reduce the burden of ad valorem taxation for Georgia homeowners. These exemptions apply to homestead property owned by a taxpayer and occupied as his or her legal residence.

Georgia DOT Holding Public Open House for Proposed US 80 Safety Improvements on Tybee Island

In order to reduce frequency and severity of crashes and improve traffic flow, GDOT proposes to reconfigure the number of travel lanes along the four-mile section of US 80/SR 26 between Lazaretto Creek and Tybrisa Street, add a center turn lane, add pedestrian hybrid beacons (PHB) or rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFB) at multiple intersections, and install a cycle track. The open house is this Thursday, March 28, from 4-8pm.

Nick Dillon recognized with ASME ICEF Research Award and admitted to AFCS Pathway Program upon graduation

Dillon is on track to graduate magna cum laude from Georgia Southern University’s Honors College in May as a Goel Scholar with a degree in mechanical engineering. He won one of two prestigious American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Internal Combustion Engine Forward (ICEF) Conference undergraduate research awards from entries nationwide.
