Georgia Southern men's soccer has unveiled its 2024 schedule for the fall, announced head coach Lee Squires

"We are really excited to get going again this Fall," said Coach Squires. "A lot of hard work has been put in on and off the field to continue to build this program to where it is competitive in the SBC and on a national level.  We aim to take a big leap forward in year two, with a lot of quality returners plus our second recruiting class.  With facility enhancements, alumni and administrative support, and Eagle Nation behind us, there's clear alignment and expectations for year two! The SBC has established itself as a top three conference nationally, and our competitive non-conference schedule will help prepare us for that."

The Eagles will open regular season competition on Thursday, August 22, at home against the Wofford Terriers, who the Eagles have not faced since September of 2021. This game will be the second of a twin-bill with Georgia Southern women's soccer facing Kennesaw State later that night. Following that, the Eagles will host the FGCU Eagles before taking a two-match road trip to Stetson on Sept. 6, then North Florida on Sept. 9. UAB will come to Statesboro for a return trip of last year's match on Sept. 15.

Sun Belt Conference play begins on Sept. 20 as the Eagles head to the Bluegrass State to take on the Kentucky Wildcats. Following the match with UK, Southern will return home for two games, hosting the College of Charleston on Sept. 24 before hosting conference-rival James Madison on Sept. 28 to close the month in September.

October opens up with a road match at Jacksonville on Oct. 1 before the Eagles take on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in Conway, S.C., on Oct. 4. The Eagles return home to take on West Virginia on Oct. 11 before taking on the Mercer Bears In Macon for the final non-conference match up of the season on Oct 15.

The second soccer doubleheader of the season takes place on Oct. 18 when women's soccer takes on South Alabama, the men's soccer takes on Georgia State that night in Statesboro. This match is also designated as the team's annual alumni weekend, with more information to come.  Following that, the Eagles fly north for the penultimate road game of the season at Marshall before returning to Eagle Field to take on UCF for the first time since 2009.

The regular season concludes with two games in November, starting with a Nov. 1 home match against Old Dominion before finishing the season in Columbia, S.C., against the South Carolina Gamecocks.
