City of Statesboro awarded $1.37 million CHIP grant to expand affordable housing
The City of Statesboro has received a $1.37 million CHIP grant to build new single-family homes for low-income residents, marking its first award from the program since 2001. This funding, supported through an MOU with Habitat for Humanity and Agape Worship Center, will help revitalize the Pine Street neighborhood as part of the city's broader affordable housing and community redevelopment efforts.
