Peace, love, and brews! The Botanic Garden at Georgia Southern University is excited to announce the return of its Second Annual Summer Celebration Beer Tasting, happening Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 6:30 to 9:00 PM – and this year’s theme is a trip back to Woodstock!
Guests are encouraged to throw on their grooviest tie-dye and vintage threads for an evening of craft beer sampling, community spirit, and live music of the era by The Ripley’s.
Set in the stunning backdrop of the Botanic Garden, the event will feature a variety of regional craft beers, delicious Woodstock themed bites, and a laid-back atmosphere perfect for a summer evening.

Ticket Information:
· $50 – Early bird pricing begins July 25
· $55 – Starting August 1
· $60 – Starting August 8 and at the door (if available)
This is a 21+ event. All proceeds benefit the Garden’s horticulture and education programs, helping cultivate a love of nature in the community.
“After the success of last year’s Hops and Hawgs beer tasting, we’re thrilled to bring back the tasting event with a new theme,” said Todd Beasley, Ed.D., Director of the Garden. “With local brews, a Woodstock vibe, and The Ripley’s providing the soundtrack, it’s going to be a fantastic evening to celebrate summer. This is the theme Kathy Tucker, Education Manager, suggested last year after our first beer tasting and has been excited about since.”
