Boro Browse brings local businesses and campus life together for Georgia Southern students

Georgia Southern University’s campus came alive Thursday as the fall 2025 Boro Browse returned in full swing, bringing campus departments, community businesses, and nonprofit agencies together to share their services and opportunities with students, faculty, and staff.

The highly anticipated return of Boro Browse brought crowds of Georgia Southern students, local businesses, and community organizations together on Thursday, August 28, filling the Russell Union on the Statesboro campus with music, food trucks, and tables lined with opportunities.

The event, hosted by the Office of Student Activities, serves as a campus tradition each fall, designed to connect students with both on-campus resources and the surrounding Statesboro community. Dozens of local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and student groups lined the sidewalks, giving students the chance to meet new people, discover opportunities and even grab a free treat or two.

Food trucks like Jim ’N Nick’s Bar-B-Q and other local vendors provided lunch options, drawing long lines of hungry students eager to sample some of Statesboro’s favorites. From barbecue and shaved ice to coffee and snacks, the afternoon felt like a mix of community fair and campus block party.
