Feed the Boro's (FTB) March Food Drop in partnership with Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, presented by Statesboro Food Lion, and sponsored by Connection Church is scheduled for this Saturday, June 24th, beginning at 8am at Statesboro High School.

Tod Marsh, Food Lion Statesboro Store Manager, and his team were all smiles as they cut the ribbon on their newly renovated store Wednesday. Marsh invites the community to come visit and check out the "new" store. The first shoppers to visit the store daily through Saturday will get a mystery gift.

Food Lion in Statesboro and Metter are cutting the ribbon on their newly remodeled stores on Wednesday, June 21 at 7:45 AM. First 100 customers at the stores on June 21,22,23 and 24th will receive a free gift.

Hundreds of Bulloch County students returned home on Friday after a fun filled week at 4-H camp. The Bulloch County Sheriff's Motor Unit welcomed them back home and escorted them to the school where they met their parents.

Pilots flying into the Statesboro Bulloch County Airport the past week discovered the airspace was temporarily controlled by an Air Traffic Control tower set up and staffed by the National Guard 258th Air Traffic Control Squadron.

Chief Mike Broadhead and the Statesboro Police Department have launched a summer pilot program called “Roadway Assist.” This program utilizes interns, who will drive a work truck and assist police officers in a variety of ways to help reduce officers time with non-emergent traffic situations.

The 3rd annual Juneteenth Food & Music Festival will take place on Saturday, June 17th, from 1-6pm outside the Honey Bowen Building. The event seeks to commemorate the national holiday through various field day events and community activities.
