Pastor John Waters of First Baptist Statesboro and Pastor Donald Chavers of Agape Worship Center are inviting people of all faiths to join them for the National Day of Prayer Community Breakfast on May 4th at 6:30am in the Perry Fellowship Hall of First Baptist.

CoastFest is a free, family-friendly event that provides attendees with the opportunity to learn about coastal ecosystems, wildlife, and conservation efforts.

Funds raised from Relay For Life allow the American Cancer Society to attack cancer in dozens of ways – from developing breakthrough therapies and innovative research, to building supportive communities that come together to help those affected by cancer with access to treatment. Lori Wiggins and Team College of Education are currently leading the pack at $7,732 raised!

Don't miss performances of Bright Star at the Emma Kelly Theater this week. Shows are Thursday, April 20, through Saturday, April 22, at 7:30pm, with a matinee on Sunday, April 23, at 3pm.

The shower will feature informational sessions, a mini resource fair, and free diapers, wipes, baby clothing, and baby supplies.

Local advocate Ms. Shannon Killebrew is one of only six honorees nationwide to receive a Rare Impact Award from the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD). She is the founder of Shannon's Hope for House Calls and Home Medical Care.

This week, the Statesboro Police Department released new Fentanyl Information Cards to be given out to community members in hopes of reducing drug use and overdoses.
