This week, the Statesboro Police Department released new Fentanyl Information Cards to be given out to community members in hopes of reducing drug use and overdoses. The cards are full of information on fentanyl as well as recovery options for people who suffer from substance abuse. These cards will be given to patrol officers as well as any local organizations that feel they have a need for them.

Organizations that would like a supply of cards should contact Madison Grams at 912-764-9911.

Provided on the back of the cards is how to navigate a complied list of Community Resources on the SPD website. The link is also posted below for anyone who needs these lists. The resources include organizations that can help with drug addiction, mental health, food/clothing, disaster relief, maternity needs, etc.

To access the resources, visit https://statesboropd.com/. At the top of the webpage is Community. Click on that drop down menu and navigate towards "Community Resources." There you will find three separate lists depending on the resource you are looking for. Phone numbers as well as services provided by the organization are listed.
