Bryn Green, daughter of Boyd and Brooke Green of Statesboro, was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in December 2022. Green's friends Audrey Hodges and Fischer Sharp are organizing a fundraiser for Green in partnership with Phi Mu and Sigma Chi at Georgia Southern.

Retha Davis is currently on the National Liver Transplant List through the Emory Transplant Team in Decatur. While her insurance will cover the cost of the surgery, expenses of $20,000 or more will mount as she begins a new lifestyle after the transplant with anti-rejection medications and travel for follow-ups.

Longtime friend and 2022 Citizen of the Year recipient Doug Lambert introduced Georgia State Senator Billy Hickman as Statesboro's 2023 Rotary Citizen of the Year at a joint meeting of The Rotary Club of Statesboro and The Rotary Club of Downtown Statesboro.
