For Bulloch County, January has been the most affected month with 21 COVID-19 deaths. On January 1st, Bulloch reported 36 PCR deaths and 21 Rapid Antigen deaths with a total of 57 deaths of Bulloch County citizens.

Yesterday, Governor Brian P. Kemp announced that 418,584 Georgians who are 65+ have received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Bulloch County reports seven COVID-19 deaths in four days and 19 so far for the month of January. The total number of COVID deaths for Bulloch county is 76, 46 are PCR deaths and 30 are Rapid Antigen deaths.

Bulloch and Candler Counties both report two Rapid Antigen deaths today. For Bulloch County, this brings the total to 71 COVID deaths; 43 PCR & 28 Rapid Antigen deaths.

Due to COVID disease mitigation strategies, like wearing mask, social distancing and washing your hands doctors are seeing much less cold and flu patients than in past years. Doctors warn that the common cold is not common this year.

Forest Heights Pharmacy in Statesboro received 300 doses of COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday. Owner Ben Ross set a goal to get them out as quickly as possible into the community.

East Georgia Regional Medical Center (EGRMC) has received more COVID-19 vaccines. Citizens are asked to call to make an appointment to get their vaccinations.
