According to COVIDACTNOW , Bulloch County's COVID-19 risk level has changed. COVIDACTNOW reports that Bulloch's risk level is now "at risk of outbreak." This is better than our previous status of being in a "current outbreak.

East Georgia Regional Medical Center (EGRMC) reports only 7 COVID patients today with 0 of them on ventilators. The last time EGRMC reported statistics this low for patients on ventilators was back in the beginning of December (Dec. 5th).

Deaths in nursing homes & long term care (LTC) facilities have dropped 66% since vaccination efforts began in December of 2020; deaths outside of nursing homes & LTC facilities have steadily risen in the same time period.

Bulloch County reports two COVID deaths today. We have now lost 90 Bulloch County citizens to COVID-19, 49 were PCR deaths & 41 were Rapid Antigen deaths.

Today, Bulloch & Candler Counties report two COVID deaths each, Evans reports one COVID death. Bulloch County has now lost 88 residents to COVID-19, 47 were PCR deaths & 41 were Rapid Antigen deaths.

Candler & Evans Counties both report one COVID death each. Candler County is now at 55 COVID deaths with 33 PCR & 22 Rapid Antigen deaths. Evans County is now at 21 COVID deaths with 13 PCR deaths & 8 Rapid Antigen deaths.

Educators are likely to be next in line for the COVID vaccine. Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp said Thursday that in coming weeks, state officials will be finalizing plans to expand the list of people eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
