The 61st COVID death was reported in Candler County today. Candler has had 35 PCR deaths & 26 Rapid Antigen deaths. Candler County is also reporting a 14-day average of 102 positive cases per 100,000 citizens & a 7-day percent positive of 5.

Bulloch COVID Vaccinations averaging 400 doses per day. As of today 18,574 vaccinations have been distributed in Bulloch County; this number is composed of 11,162 first doses & 7,412 second doses.

CDC says fully vaccinated people can gather together indoors (with other people who are fully vaccinated), without masks or social distancing with low risks.

Vaccine providers locally are reporting high vaccine supply, but sluggish demand. Even with the expansion beginning Monday that includes teachers and education staff. Vaccine resistance is VERY high in all eligible categories.

Total COVID deaths in Bulloch County is now up to 94, 51 were PCR deaths & 43 were Rapid Antigen deaths. Bulloch county is also reporting a 14 day average of 172 positive cases per 100,000 citizens & a percent positive of 9.7%.

Bulloch County reported the 93rd COVID-19 death today. Since the beginning of the year (63 days) Bulloch County has lost 36 citizens to the pandemic, statistically, Bulloch is losing a resident to COVID roughly every other day.

Since the Governor made the announcement last week that he will be expanding COVID vaccines to teachers Grice Connect and local vaccine providers have been receiving calls regarding information as to how to get scheduled for the vaccine.

On Saturday, February 27 Grice Connect reported that EGRMC had NO COVID patients on a ventilator and only 7 COVID patients in the hospital.
