Statesboro will face Kennesaw Mountain High School next week in a semifinal match

Students, faculty and staff recently came together to plant three longleaf pine trees near the Student Union on the Armstrong Campus in Savannah, and in Statesboro, 10 dogwood trees were planted along Southern Drive leading to Sweetheart Circle. 

Students in the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) at Ogeechee Technical College brightened Valentine's Day for residents and nurses at Brown's Health and Rehabilitation in Statesboro.

The city’s five-week pre-professional program aims to inspire local high school students to become engaged, lifelong learners in their community. The program is set to begin on May 29, 2023, and will focus on the core concepts of education, employment, civic responsibility, leadership and diversity. Applications are due March 20.

The 37th annual Nan Rushing Write-off contest was held on March 4.

The opening event will feature various speakers from Georgia Southern with Dr. Alvin D. Jackson, Board President of the Willow Hill Heritage and Renaissance Center as moderator.

The Conservationist of the Year award exists to recognize farmers or landowners who have conducted exemplary conservation work on their land

Families who are raising a child with a disability are asked to participate

Upon completion of the program, participants receive a $1,000 scholarship to the college or university of their choice.

The donation will support training and education efforts for students in corrections facilities in Bulloch and Screven counties
