The fall undergraduate ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. on Dec. 15, while the graduate ceremony will commence at 2 p.m. on the same day.

Bulloch County Schools has posted its annual audit report of how the school district has used funds from its fourth education special purpose local option sales tax revenues (E-SPLOST). The funds were used in compliance with the E-SPLOST IV referendum approved by Bulloch County voters on Nov. 7, 2017. 

David Weindorf comes to Georgia Southern from Central Michigan University, where he has served as the Vice President for Research and Innovation since 2020.

EGSC professor Desmal Purcell will deliver the commencement address, while graduate Salma Cueva will present the reflection.

The results are used to guide each school's school climate (quality and character of life in a school) initiatives, provide direction for health curriculum, and provide goals for drug and alcohol prevention education. Individual student responses are confidential.

Statesboro High FCCLA will feature local vendors, musical and theatre performances, and a Kids Zone at the event. As a service project, the club will also be collecting gently used or new shoes for those in need, as well. The event is coordinated by student Ava Mincey and faculty advisors and volunteers Rosanna Ward, Lori Morris, and Yolanda Mincey.

Ten school districts and three charter schools will form the first two-year literacy leadership cohort that will work to align professional learning, instructional coaching, and teaching practices to the science of reading through structured literacy. Courses developed by the Rollins Center in partnership with GaDOE will be available to all K-5 teachers and leaders in the state free of charge.

Georgia Southern’s official fall 2023 enrollment was 26,106, a 2.35% increase over fall 2022’s final enrollment figure.

Georgia Southern is part of a network of institutions that allows transferability of credits for military students, provides in-state tuition for members of the military and their families, and offers college credit for prior education, military training and experience.
