The Downtown Statesboro Development Authority will be hosting its ninth annual Downtown Paw Walk and on March 3  from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the downtown dog park.

Feed the Boro's (FTB) February Food Drop in partnership with Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, presented by Statesboro Food Lion, and sponsored by D&R Automotive, is scheduled for this Saturday, February 18th beginning at 8 am at Statesboro High School.

On Saturday, February 11th, the NAACP celebrated its 114th year as a nationwide civil rights organization. The Bulloch County NAACP hosted a Founders Day brunch at the Averitt Center for the Arts.

It is that time of year again for Zeta Xi chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha at Georgia Southern University Annual Strawberry Sale. This years ZTA chapter sale will be their 21st annual sale.

The Leadership Bulloch Class of 2023 has chosen to purchase a van for Freedom Through Recovery as their class project. They are currently fundraising to buy the van, which will be used to transport those in the recovery community and their families to job interviews and other important appointments.

The C&E Learning Academy will host its inaugural City Gala for infants to age 12 at the Luetta Moore Park Community Building on February 18. This is a fundraiser for the childcare facility, which will soon expand into a larger building on Northside Drive.

The Bulloch County Recreation and Parks Department will host a 3 vs 3 basketball tournament for youth and adults on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 10am. The tournament will be held at the Rev. W.D. Kent Park on Grady Street.

The Swansons legacy of ministry will officially end on Sunday, February 12, 2023, during the 10:00am service marking the church’s full 100 year anniversary. The Swanson legacy has spanned 45 years in Statesboro, GA. Pastor Cary Swanson's parents, Pastors Wayne and Jean Swanson, served 28 of those years, and Janet and Pastor Cary served 17 years.

This Valentine's Day, join your partner (or friend) for a night of dancing downtown. The Averitt Center for the Arts will host a ballroom dance workshop from 6:30-7:30pm on February 14th, instructed by Michael McCurdy.
