Zaxby’s Scare on the Square will be held downtown Statesboro October 27 4:30-9 p.m.

Brazil, France, India, Japan, the United Kingdom and many other countries will be represented in Statesboro on October 27 at the 13th annual International Festival.

Early Saturday morning nearly 200 Sigma Chi members, alumni and several sororities came together to honor one of their own and launch their first annul community day of service.

Keep Statesboro and Bulloch Beautiful’s Board of Directors have launched a community needs assessment. They are requesting citizens of Bulloch County and Statesboro to take a few minutes to complete the assessment.

The Kiwanis Fair kicks off tomorrow at 5:00 PM downtown. The fair parade is the largest parade annually in Statesboro. New this year at the fair The Kiwanis have teamed up with local businesses to grow the fair this year.

From the BCSO… The Sheriff’s Office has received several calls this morning questioning our plans for Hurricane Michael.

First Baptist Church, 108 North Main – Statesboro, is opening a Good Samaritan Shelter at 3 PM Wednesday, October 10th. This is for Bulloch County residents who do not feel safe in their home.

From the Bulloch County EMA… Michael 11am update from the NHC: Michael has strengthened to a Cat 3 storm since the 2pm update from the NHC. It is a very dangerous hurricane.
