"An Evening for the K9's" Georgia K9 Foundation Fundraiser Saturday

"An Evening for the K'9s," hosted by the Statesboro based, Georgia K9 foundation , will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021, at The Venues, in the Oak Room on the campus of Ogeechee Technical College.

"An Evening for the K'9s," hosted by the Statesboro based, Georgia K9 foundation, will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021, at The Venues, in the Oak Room on the campus of Ogeechee Technical College.  The fundraiser begins at 6 PM and continues till 10 PM.

This is the Georgia K9 Foundations biggest annual fundraiser.  Tickets will be available at the door for $20 and include a raffle ticket for some awesome raffle items.

In addition to raffle items, they will have a silent auction featuring items donated by companies across the nation, food, drinks, and entertainment.  There will also be photo opportunities, a chance to meet K9 teams, watch K9 demos and buy merchandise!

Meet local and visiting K9 teams such as K9 Mattis, K9 Raider, K9 Bragi, K9 Jerry Lee, K9 Leo, K9 Loki, K9 Luna, K9 Kash, K9 Smokey, K9 Leo, K9 Cinder, K9 Django, K9 Eddy, K9 Vader, K9 Arlo, K9 Duk, K9 Cinder, K9 DeKay, K9 Raven, K9 Nina and many more!

The Georgia K9 foundation recommends leaving your furry friend/family member (pet) home for this event.

Also please respect the working K9s who are listed as special guests as they are here to assist our foundation and all have different personalities and rules.

Always ask permission prior to approaching a K9.

Dress code is casual for the event.

About the Georgia K9 Foundation

The Georgia K9 foundation is a statewide organization, founded and located in Statesboro.  Statesboro Police Department Corporal Kyle Briley is the President of the Georgia K9 foundation.  Corporal Briley also leads the SPD impact K-9 team.

Tracy Mallary, with Statesboro Properties, leads the annual fundraiser and serves as Treasurer of the Georgia K9 Foundation Board.

Georgia K9 Foundation Goals

1) To raise awareness within the State and the local communities of the inestimable contribution of the police K9 and how they save lives and make our communities safer.

2) To protect these valuable assets and friends with safety equipment especially ballistic vests and heat alarm systems.

3) To educate through annually certifying, and providing advanced training and tools to allow the K-9 Teams to perform at optimum levels for protection of the citizens of Georgia.

4) To provide retirement support (food and medical care) for retired law enforcement K-9s  in the absence of  State or local retirement benefits (food, medical care) for the four legged K9 officer.  In addition we aim to have local governments implement financial assistance for 5 years for retired K9s.
