The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued severe thunderstorm watch 403 in effect as of 2:15pm July 10, 2024 until 9pm this evening for the following areas in Georgia.

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF BRYAN, EVANS, LIBERTY, BULLOCH, EFFINGHAM, CHATHAM, LONG AND TATTNALL COUNTIES

The NWS in Charleston has predicted strong storms for the region on Thursday afternoon. They are expected to arrive in the Statesboro area around 1pm.

Saturday is a severe weather alert day. NWS Charleston has issued a tornado watch for Bulloch and surrounding counties until 2 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2024. They have also issued alerts for the potential of flooding and severe thunderstorms. Continue to watch this story for updates if conditions change.
