The Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets hosted the Mary Persons Bulldogs in the second round of the GHSA Class AAA Softball playoffs. The Yellow Jackets defeated the Bulldogs in a 3-game series to advance to the Elite 8.

The Bulloch Academy Gators showed out once more and finished their regular season 9-0. Undefeated seasons two years in a row. The Pinewood Christian Academy came to play, but energy of the swamp on Senior Night was unmatched.

The Portal community united together full of spirit for Senior Night to support their Panthers at Portal Middle High School to fend off the Screven County Gamecocks. The Panther's valiant rally towards a comeback was not enough for the Gamecocks pressing offense finishing the game 26-21. 

In a nail-biting matchup at Veterans Stadium, Southeast Bulloch rallied from a 12-0 deficit, led by quarterback Rhett Morgan and standout running back Colby Smith, to secure a 15-12 win over Long County. Key defensive plays in the final minutes sealed the victory, showcasing the Yellow Jackets’ resilience and determination.

The Statesboro Blue Devils defeated the South Effingham Mustangs 41 to 7 in a dominant region win. This win puts the Blue Devils (4-4, 3-3) overall and in the region. The Blue Devils are sitting in fifth place in AAAAA Region 1, and with two more wins the Blue Devils could punch their ticket to the playoffs for the third season in a row.

ODU takes home 47-19 victory in Sun Belt action

Georgia Southern will take on Old Dominion Thursday night in Norfolk. Kickoff is at 7:05pm.
