Kitten Yoga: A purrfect fundraiser for Fixing the Boro

Trinity Episcopal Church Yoga Ministry hosted its second annual Kitten Yoga fundraiser on July 19th, benefiting the animal rescue organization Fixing the Boro. Certified yoga instructors led sessions while participants had the chance to interact with adoptable kittens, resulting in several adoptions. Fixing the Boro, dedicated to providing low-cost sterilization and rescuing pets, plans to continue such events, including a potential event for adoptable puppies in the fall.

In an effort to make sure kids all over Bulloch County have what they need to go back to school, the annual Boys and Girls Club Back to School Bash and the Gateway Industrial Park Back To School Supply Drive were able to give out over 1,000 bookbags full of supplies.

The Willow Hill Heritage and Renaissance Center is about to wrap up its annual Techie Camp -- with record-breaking enrollment. The six-week program expanded this year to welcome students from 3rd to 8th grade, with enrollment skyrocketing from 25 to a whopping 240 campers! The program is looking to expand even more next year, carrying on the legacy of Dr. Gayle Jackson, who was instrumental in founding the camp.
