Graduates in Savannah will hear from quadruple Eagle Jackie Brown-Pinkney, Ed.D., during the ceremony on Dec. 16 at Enmarket Arena, and graduates in Statesboro will hear from Executive Director of Leadership, Emeritus, Todd Deal, Ph.D., during the ceremony on Dec. 14 at Allen E. Paulson Stadium.

The new facility in Newnan will bring more than 100 new jobs and a more than $24 million investment. In fiscal year 2023, job creation in the automotive industry increased by 324 percent when compared to fiscal year 2021, and suppliers attracted by Georgia’s mobility original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) resulted in over $2 billion in investment across the state in FY23.

Feed the Boro's Thanksgiving food drop is this Saturday, November 11th, at SHS. It is open to ANYONE in Bulloch County who needs food, and recipients are encouraged to get in line early. Please note that this food drop replaces the Thanksgiving meal prepared and delivered on Thanksgiving Day in years past.

Keith Roughton has been elected to represent the citizens of Brooklet in District 1 on City Council. Package sales of liquor in the City of Brooklet has been defeated.

Paulette Chavers has been re-elected to represent the citizens of Statesboro District 2 on City Council.

Statesboro High School Architecture & Construction students won First Place Overall at the recent SkillsUSA Challenge at the Bulloch County Ag Complex. Students who are members of SkillsUSA Georgia and compete at this event in carpentry, electrical, masonry, plumbing and welding are eligible to earn a bid to the "State Leadership and Skills Competition (SLSC)" that will be held in February 2024.

The recognition was awarded by 'Redefining the Road' magazine, which focuses on best practices for encouraging women’s employment in the trucking industry.

In total container trade, last month was GPA’s busiest September ever outside of the pandemic-related spike in volume, with nearly 403,000 twenty-foot equivalent container units of cargo crossing GPA docks last month.
