East Georgia State College Athletics invites the Swainsboro and Statesboro communities to come enjoy the excitement and fast pace of college basketball when the Lady Bobcats host their home opener on November 10th at 3:00 p.m. against Southern Union College. Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams will play on November 15th at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in a huge double-header against the University of South Carolina-Salkehatchie.

The State of Emergency and the gas tax suspension will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 29, 2023. According to AAA, the average cost of a gallon of regular gas in Georgia is currently $2.89, 51 cents below the national average.

Queensborough National Bank and Trust Company has announced the launch of a new internal financial literacy accreditation program. The "IQ University" program is also available to other companies who wish to provide financial education to their own employees.

The Statesboro Jaycees are once again spreading Christmas cheer in Bulloch County with their annual Toys for Tots drive! Applications are open until 3pm on December 1, and businesses are now invited to request a toy dropbox.

The City of Statesboro's vision for the Youth Council is to cultivate the advancement of young persons by giving them a voice in political, social, and economic platforms. Members on the Youth Council regularly participate in local events and initiatives to help create change for youth in the community.
