Keith Roughton wins City of Brooklet Post 1 election |Liquor fails by 1 vote

Keith Roughton has been elected to represent the citizens of Brooklet in District 1 on City Council. Package sales of liquor in the City of Brooklet has been defeated.

Keith Roughton wins Brooklet City Council Post 1 election

City of Brooklet Council Post 1 voters have elected Keith Roughton to represent them in Post 1.   Roughton will replace Nicky Gwinnett who ran unopposed for Mayor.  Joe Grooms, the current Mayor of Brooklet, did not seek re-election.

The sale of liquor (distilled spirits) in package stores in the City of Brooklet was denied by 1 vote.

146 total voters cast their votes in the election through advanced voting, absentee and day of voting in Post 1.

Council Seat 5:

Melanie Nessmithy has been elected to represent citizens of Register in Council Seat 5.  The seat was vacated by Ann Ross.
