City of Statesboro District 2 voters have re-elected Paulette Chavers to represent them in District 2. Chavers was opposed by Lawton Sack.
"Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote. Your vote signifies that you still believe change is possible and that there is still more work that needs to be done," said Paulette Chavers. "I am elated to be chosen to represent and serve District 2 and the entire city of Statesboro."
439 total voters cast their votes in the election through advanced voting, absentee and day of voting.

Council Seat 5:
Melanie Nessmithy has been elected to represent citizens of Register in Council Seat 5. The seat was vacated by Ann Ross.
