The new campus of Augusta University’s Medical College of Georgia (MCG) is expected to enroll its first students on the Armstrong Campus of Georgia Southern University by Fall 2024, pending approval.

The council will evaluate the problems related to state literacy outcomes and recommend improvements.

The Future Georgia Educator program is a statewide initiative sponsored by the Georgia Department of Education. It highlights graduating seniors who plan to major in education. It is meant to celebrate education as a career choice and encourage talented young people to help fill the needs of Georgia's school systems. 

Eight radiologic technology senior students at Ogeechee Technical College (OTC) were honored in late April. The recipients included Lacey Crosby, Reid Hadden, Amanda Jacobs, Komlanvi Komlan, Sydney Lewis, Alex Malko, Hillary Robinson, and Maliah Thornton.

The scholarships recognize deserving and outstanding students who are pursuing a degree in agriculture or an ag-related degree at a college in the University System of Georgia, Berry College or Emmanuel College.

Students who have earned their associates degrees, diplomas, technical certificates of credit, and Georgia High School Equivalency diplomas were all recognized throughout the ceremony.
