Student musicians from Langston Chapel, William James, Southeast Bulloch and Portal middle schools will showcase their collective talents during a free, public concert on Thursday, March 14, at 7 p.m., in the Langston Chapel Middle School Gymnasium. The event is also a last formal rehearsal prior to the group competing in the Southern Star Music Festival in Atlanta on March 15. This new collaboration fosters talent and festival participation.

The rankings are based on a combination of the ranking sites editorial staff ratings, graduation rate, average net price, admission rate, full-time retention rate, and total number of students enrolled in the program.

This annual initiative brought together the entire educational family, including students and staff, fostering a sense of community and support for a shared cause. During the initiative, participants joined forces to raise an impressive total of more than $43,600. The funds collected were directed towards supporting disadvantaged children through a partnership with Clark’s Christmas Kids.

The Botanic Garden at Georgia Southern will welcome youngsters to its spring session of the Children's Vegetable Garden beginning Thursday, March 7, 2024. Participants will have the opportunity to grow, harvest, and taste produce in their own special area of the garden.

The free family-friendly event is fun for all ages and is open to all families in Bulloch County! Come enjoy free food, games, prizes, the Book Bus, and learning, all focused on encouraging reading skills.

The 2024 AP Honor Schools are named in eight categories based on the results of 2023 AP courses and exams. Statesboro High School was included on the list for AP Access and Support School, AP STEM School, and AP STEM Achievement School.

Lottery drawings are Thursday, March 28, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. An evening, in-person registration will be held on Thursday, March 7, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Bulloch County Board of Education's Central Office

By establishing The Strickland Promise, the board of Directors for the George W. Strickland Foundation will be providing scholarships for qualified Evans County graduating seniors. The scholarship will help offset costs remaining after all federal, state, and any other financial awards are applied to tuition.

Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 3,550 students for excellence in academics on the Fall 2023 Dean's List. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
