In March, Statesboro High’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter competed at the State Leadership Conference in Atlanta, GA. This was the largest conference in the state’s history with over 4,000 students competing in various business competitions for the chance to represent Georgia at the 2024 National Leadership Conference in Orlando, GA. The competition was steep, but the Statesboro students prevailed and were able to secure a spot for Nationals.

Three students are eligible to attend the conference.

The cost to attend nationals conference is around $1,300 per student. These students deserve the communities support for this and future FBLA travel.

The club was fortunate enough to send senior Carson Smith to Nationals last year. When asked about his experience, Smith replied, “I [was] extremely grateful for the amazing experiences I was fortunate enough to have at the NLC last summer. The greatest memory, however, would have to be the networking opportunities and the ability to meet like-minded people from across the world.”

The club is raising money for this possible trip and for and future trips.

FBLA will be hosting a car wash on Saturday, May 11, from 8am to 2pm at Statesboro High School to help these students raise money to go.

In addition to washing cars, customers will be able to participate in some fun and games while they wait. Kids will be able to make a custom Mother's Day gift to take home to mom. The group will also be making custom Mother's Day and Teacher’s Appreciation gifts.

If you would just like to help sponsor the trip or just make a donation, please contact Melissa Anderson at [email protected] or (404) 981-2365. "Thank you so much for supporting our students," Anderson said.
