The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office recently introduced its newest School Resource Officer (SRO), and he is of the four-legged variety.

K-9 Beans has joined the BCSO's SRO Division at no cost to Bulloch County or to Bulloch County Schools. Beans's addition to the team further strengthens the BCSO's commitment to creating safe and supportive learning environments for all Bulloch County students.

BCSO shares that this furry new addition will not only assist with school safety initiatives, but will also play a big role in building positive relationships with students across the county through his community engagement work.

His supervisors report that Beans is eager to get to work alongside the rest of the SRO team and is especially excited to meet all the children. This school year, the newly expanded SRO team has already spent time in the schools getting to know the student population, and BCSO invites the community to say hello when they encounter one of these officers (human or canine) at school.
