The Statesboro-Bulloch County Library, in partnership with the Statesboro Youth Council, is proud to announce a special youth-led celebration of Juneteenth on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 10:30am at the Statesboro-Bulloch County Library. The library is located at 124 South Main Street in Statesboro.

This event will honor Juneteenth Freedom Day, commemorating the day enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom on June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
