For nearly twenty years, Kids World Learning Center in Statesboro has been more than a place to drop off kids. It's grown into a second home where children's laughter drifts across a four-building campus, where young voices are encouraged to share their thoughts, and where parents are able to find peace of mind knowing their youngsters are learning, growing, and thriving in a safe, uplifting environment.

About 20 years ago, Michelle Lank purchased the business, which started with just a single building, six staff members, and a 67 children licensing capacity. Within the past two decades and thanks to the devotion of its owner and staff, the campus has expanded to four buildings, 40 staff members, and 196 licensing capacity.

Much of their growth took root when Kids World launched its private kindergarten program after COVID, answering parents’ requests for a trusted, smaller learning environment where their children could continue their education instead of transitioning to public school.

Kids World offers a wide range of programs and services, from lesson plans, play-based learning, and developmental activities for infants and toddlers to Georgia Pre-K and private kindergarten with classes as small as 13 students, supported by iReady testing and certified teachers with state credentials.

The center also provides after-school programs, as well as seasonal offerings like summer camps, transition programs, and holiday care for when public schools are closed.

This private learning center is also among the first in Georgia to earn a Three-Star Quality Rated Program, the highest rating from the state. Kids World has also received NAEYC National Accreditation, something only 7% of centers nationwide have earned, as well as the Language & Literacy Governor's Endorsement.

Kids World serves as an inclusion site for children with special needs and has produced the first Georgia Pre-K Teacher of the Year for the state.

Many parents and guardians have consistently expressed strong trust in Kids World staff and safety, especially appreciating the smaller class sizes allowing kids to receive a more personalized learning experience. Although there's a waitlist for parents wanting to enroll their children into the learning center, Lank has strongly encouraged calling and asking despite the line.

"Spots open up all the time," said Lank, clarifying that having a waitlist doesn’t mean Kids World is inaccessible. "If you need us, give us a call!"

This year marks Kids World's 20th anniversary since being purchased by Lank, and they plan to celebrate with a special block party on Friday, October 3, 2025. Families, alumni and community members are all invited to join in on the fun, with games and activities planned across the campus; updates and details can be found on their Facebook page here.
