Nearly 500 citizens gathered peacefully around the Bulloch County Courthouse on Saturday, June 14, 2025, to participate in a "No Kings" rally, a demonstration intended to publicly express their First Amendment rights in expressing disapproval of the President's policies. The Statesboro event was part of a larger national "No Kings" rally movement that reportedly drew record numbers to thousands of similar rallies across the United States this weekend.

Organizers of the local rally collaborated with Bulloch County Sheriff Noel Brown to secure a permit for the event, which ran from 10 am to 12 pm. Demonstrating a commitment to safety, they also requested the presence of deputies and Statesboro Police Officers to ensure the rally remained peaceful. Their efforts were successful, as the event proceeded without any reported incidents.
Despite intermittent rain throughout the morning, which became quite heavy at times, the enthusiasm and resolve of the participants remained undeterred. The substantial turnout marked the fifth such rally organized by the same group on the Courthouse Square. What began with only a handful of participants in the initial event has seen a steady increase in attendance, culminating in Saturday's record crowd.

At its peak, the rally saw participants lining the North Main Street and East Main Street frontages of the Bulloch County Courthouse multiple people deep, showcasing the significant interest and engagement within the local community in the "No Kings" movement. The peaceful demonstration served as a visible testament to a growing number of citizens' commitment to exercising their constitutional rights.
