UPDATE: Due to the forecast of inclement weather and already saturated ground at the park, the ArtsFest portion of Saturday has been canceled. At this time, Opening Day games are STILL ON AS SCHEDULED. Stay tuned for additional updates from BullochRec and Grice Connect.
Bulloch County Recreation and Parks will host its annual fall sports Opening Day on Saturday at Mill Creek Park, starting at 9am.
Scrimmages will be held for football/cheerleading teams and for soccer. The Opening Day schedule is available here.
While the games are going on, everyone can also enjoy ArtsFest in the Park, a smaller version of the beloved spring ArtsFest event. The festival will run concurrently with Opening Day behind the large pavilion at Mill Creek from 9am to noon.
There will be around 10 different art stops as well as an artist's market and food vendors. Dress to get messy!
As always, event t-shirts will be available for purchase for $5 at the popular tie-dye station.
40th anniversary of ArtsFest this spring
