Bulloch County Recreation and Parks are heading into their busy season. Eddie Canon, Director of Bulloch County Recreation and Parks gives highlights of upcoming events that provide opportunities for citizens of all ages.

Bede Mitchell is the Kiwanian of the Year, 2021-2022. Mitchell who serves as Secretary of the club is responsible for ordering the awards. Christopher Wiggins, club president explained how it took a bit of trickery to not clue him in on being the recipient.

Ferst Readers of Bulloch has launched the Bring a Book to Life Character Contest to help raise funds to purchase books for Bulloch County children.

Festivalgoers can enjoy sustainability workshops, children’s activities, and more. The event will showcase all the local area has to offer for sustainable living. Over 30 interactive vendors and exhibitors will share sustainability information and green products to encourage a green lifestyle.

The Downtown Statesboro Development Authority will be hosting its ninth annual Downtown Paw Walk and on March 3  from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the downtown dog park.

Feed the Boro's (FTB) February Food Drop in partnership with Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, presented by Statesboro Food Lion, and sponsored by D&R Automotive, is scheduled for this Saturday, February 18th beginning at 8 am at Statesboro High School.
