Over 3 million are without power across Florida as Milton passed across the state overnight. There are no impacts for Bulloch County from Milton. Wind advisory's continue till 8:00 pm Thursday night for Bulloch. Stay alert as trees may fall that are weakened from Hurricane Helene.

The NWS in Charleston is predicting Hurricane Milton's impacts to Bulloch County to be max sustained winds of 15 to 23 mph with max wind gusts to 33 mph Wednesday night into Thursday. A wind advisory has been issued between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm Thursday morning which means there is a possibility of max gusts to 40 mph. Bulloch County EMA is monitoring the storm and will provide updates as conditions change.

The NWS in Charleston is predicting Hurricane Milton's impacts to Bulloch County to be max sustained winds of 15 to 28 mph with max wind gusts to 32 mph Wednesday night into Thursday. Bulloch County EMA is monitoring the storm and will provide updates as conditions change.

Hurricane Milton is now a Category 5 hurricane with winds of 180 MPH as it moves through the Gulf of Mexico. Bulloch County could potentially see Tropical Storm force gusts of 35 MPH and 0.5-1.5” of rain overnight Wednesday.

Georgia Power has only 5 outages. Excelsior EMC is reporting 206 customers without power in Bulloch. They have worked miracles to restore this level of outage in 10 days.

Bulloch County is monitoring TS Milton. At this time the forecast track does not indicate major impacts for Bulloch County. We will continue to monitor and provide updates if conditions change.

Georgia Power has only 10 outages. Excelsior EMC is reporting 500 total outages impacting 1,642 customers over their entire coverage area and have more linemen joining them to assist.

Power has been restored at all schools, and the system is ready to welcome students back on Monday. Cedarwood will remain closed until power is restored there, and families across the district should expect some school menu changes and a few alternate bus routes.
