Final NCAA FBS football stats have been released, and several Eagles made their mark nationally.

Langston Chapel Middle School boys basketball haven't won a region championship since 2013. This year, the boys team is undefeated and one game away from bringing the "Ship back to the Chap".

The Portal Panthers split the doubleheader with the Montgomery County High School Eagles on Tuesday night. The Portal women’s basketball teams fell to the Montgomery County Eagles 60-46. The Portal men’s basketball team defeated the Montgomery County Eagles 75-40.

On Saturday, February 10, Georgia Southern men's basketball will host the University at Buffalo at 3 p.m. in Hanner Fieldhouse, while women's basketball will travel to Northern Illinois University to play a 2 p.m. game against the Huskies.

The Statesboro Blue Devils win region doubleheader at home, and girls varsity senior, Reya Johnson, is celebrated for making 1,000 points in her career as a Lady Blue Devil.

Due to inclement weather last week, this region match-up was rescheduled to Monday night where the Gators tamed the Wildcats 54-49 in the Varsity Girls game and 70-61 in the Varsity Boys game.
