Get ready, Statesboro—a new flavor is in town. Newk's Eatery, known for its fresh, made-from-scratch menu, is officially opening its doors on Monday, September 1. Located at 23900 Highway 80 East, the restaurant will be open from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.
This new location is one of the brand's newest prototypes, featuring a drive-thru and an expanded, covered outdoor seating area, making it easy to enjoy your meal whether you're dining in or on the go. It is owned by veteran restaurant owners Rick Howard and Tiku Schroff. They are know locally for popular restaurants including Dunkin', Popeyes and Wild Wing's.

The restaurant is managed by managing partner and Statesboro native Ron Flott, who formerly owned Larry's Giant Subs. Flott is excited to bring the Newk's experience to his hometown. "We have an extensive catering menu, and we'll be changing our menus seasonally to keep it fresh and different," Flott said. He also pointed out a unique brand feature: the collectible cups.

Newk's prides itself on being a "culinary-driven" fast-casual restaurant, a distinct step up from traditional fast food. The open kitchen gives customers a front-row seat to the preparation process, where ingredients are sliced and prepped daily. The menu features a variety of made-from-scratch items, including sandwiches, salads, soups, and pizzas. Unlike many fast-food chains, Newk's avoids using fryers and microwaves, focusing instead on high-quality ingredients and in-house preparation.
Key differences you'll find at Newk's include house-made dressings and hand-sliced meats. The brand aims to provide a comfortable and inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy a high-quality meal made with fresh ingredients.

With its grand opening, Newk's Eatery is poised to become a new favorite for Statesboro residents seeking a delicious and fresh dining option.
