So far, the South Georgia Tormenta FC team record for the 2024 regular season is 1-2-1.

South Georgia Tormenta FC falls to One Knoxville SC in the second away game of the season with a 1-0 score. Both teams in this nail-biting match exhibited tenacity, but ultimately South Georgia could not find an equalizer to the goal scored by One Knoxville in the first half.

South Georgia opened scoring attempts in the 6th minute, as Aaron Lombardi sent a right-footed shot toward goal, which fell just wide of the net. In the next minute, One Knoxville sent a shot into the box toward Tormenta FC keeper Ford Parker, who narrowly made his first save of the match. Parker leads the USL League One in saves this season and has won the Save of the Week award for the last three weeks.

Parker made an acrobatic save in the 36th minute of play, punching the ball away from goal. In the same minute, Angelo Kelly of One Knoxville sent a left-footed shot from the outside of the box high into the net. This shot marked the lone goal conceded by Parker during the match.

One Knoxville SC maintained a high level of pressure in the first half of the match. The intensity of the match heightened for both teams, and the first yellow card of the match was doled out to a One Knoxville player in the 43rd minute. The second and final yellow card of the match was shown to another player of One Knoxville.

Head Coach Ian Cameron made the first substitution of the match in the 46th minute of play, introducing Jackson Khoury to the match in place of Niall Watson. This appearance marks the first for Khoury since his return from Sydney, Australia, where he was playing in the second round of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Preliminary Joint Qualification for the Lebanon National Team.

South Georgia Tormenta FC saw multiple late scoring opportunities, but were ultimately unable to convert the chances. Pedro Fonseca was substituted into the match for Mason Tunbridge in the 65th minute and in that same moment, Fonseca made a valiant attempt at a goal, blasting the ball just to the right of the net.
