The Bulloch Academy Gators rolled over the Augusta Christian Lions in a 28-0 win. Bulloch Academy Gators came out in attack mode against the Augusta Christian Lions and were on a tear as soon as the game started.
The Gators were relentless, not giving the Lions any breathing room from start to finish. Coming out the gate with a quick touchdown by junior fullback Danye Garvin immediately followed by another touchdown by senior running back Shamar Jenkins to put the Gators up 14-0 in the first.
The Lions tried to find their footing, but sophomore defensive end Braylon Cone carried the Gator defensive line rushing the Lions quarterback John Allen Williamson almost every play.
The Gators only had one play throughout the first quarter where they didn’t gain at least one yard.
The Gators had a couple hiccups in the second quarter with a couple delay of game penalties, but didn’t allow the Lions to make any moves offensively and put the stamp on the half with an interception by sophomore free safety, JB Roach to end the first half.
In the second half the Gators came out with the hopes of executing better in this half having to overcome some offensive struggles with three fumbles.
The Lions struggled offensively and defensively and because of some quick quarterback rushes by Braylon Cone, the Gators came out in the second half and almost forced another interception.
Sophomore quarterback Sam Hubbard was throwing darts the entire game and continued to capitalize off that first half success after he found Shamar Jenkins on a perfect 30 yard pass to walk the ball in relatively untouched for his second touchdown of the night. That touchdown pass put the Gators up 21-0
The final Gator touchdown was run in by senior wide receiver William Polk getting his first touchdown of the season to put the final nail in the Lions coffin and put the Gators up 28-0 to finish the night.
